Even though the women are far more educated more than ever in the history, yet gender bias is deeply rooted in Indian Society. Women in India face myriad cultural challenges that impede social advancement. Discriminatory family codes, lack of education, and cultural stigmas are only a few examples. Heightened media attention on such inequities has mounted pressure on the government not just to reform the institutional treatment of women, but also raise the level of dialogue on the larger issue of women's rights in a rapidly modernizing society.

The roles a woman plays in various aspects of life are many. At home, on job, in society, as mothers, wives, sisters, daughters, learners, workers, citizens and leaders.

Global Human Rights Bureau will continue to empower the so called "weaker beings" to be recognised and respect with equality in the societies around.
